THE ASSUMPTION OF THE VIRGIN MARY

The Dogma of the ASSUMPTION TO HEAVEN consists in the fact that the Immaculate Mother of God, ever Virgin, completed the course of her earthly life, was ascended body and soul to heavenly glory. This Dogma was proclaimed by Pope Pius XII, on November 1, 1950, in the Constitution Munificentisimus Deus.
