Prayer to Christ, high priest

Lord, Jesus Christ, our magnificent and supreme Priest. By your Death and Resurrection we have recognized you as the sacrificial Lamb, mediator between the Father and ourselves. You call us to participate in your Death and Resurrection through the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, to unite us in the offering of the sacrifice of Yourself through the participation of your Priesthood in the Eucharist. Thus we belong to your Kingdom on earth, making us your holy people.

Lord Jesus Christ, our High Priest, grant us your Spirit of Love and Life to unite us to you, Priest and Victim, so that the plan of salvation for all peoples may be established within us.

Lord, Jesus Christ, our High Priest, grant us your Spirit of Wisdom and union, that unites us all in your Mystical Body, the Church, to be your witnesses in the world.

Lord, Jesus Christ, our High Priest, may your cross remedy our ills, your Resurrection renew us, your Holy Spirit sanctify us, your Kingship glorify us and redeem us with your Priesthood, so that we may be united with you as you are with the Father in the Holy Spirit.

Lord, Jesus, gather us all together in your Person - Victim, Priest, King - by the saving banquet of the Eucharist which You and we offer at the altar of Sacrifice, now and all the days of our pilgrimage through this world. When You call us into Your heavenly Kingdom, then may we share with all the saints in Your glory, love and life in union with the Father and the Holy Spirit for all eternity. Amen.

Prayer
O Lord! You have given us this sacred Banquet at which we receive Christ, the memory of his Passion is renewed, the soul is filled with grace, and future glory is given to us as a pledge. You have given us bread from heaven which contains in itself every delight.

Let us pray: O God and our Father, you have appointed Jesus Christ as Supreme Priest, for your glory and our salvation. Grant that the people ransomed by his Blood for you may come to share in the power of your Cross and Resurrection through the celebration of his Memorial in the Eucharist, for he lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
